MARCH came and went......

Last month went by like a breeze. I want to take just a moment and jot down a few notes and turn them into lasting memories. Spring Break: The weather was not in the lease bit Spring-like, but Mike tood advantage of the time off work and spent good quality time with the kids. He took them fishing when the wind was blowing like crazy. They fed the ducks when it was freezing outside. Mike took the kids to the museum to see the Titanic. Mike even took the kids shopping for new shoes. Mike hates shopping especially when he comes back empty handed, window shopping is not for him. What an amazing week the kids had with their dad. I'm sure Madi will record those moments in her memory bank. Gabe is still talking about feeding the ducks and fishing and both kids are still practicing with casting with their fishing poles at home. Grandma Messick’s funeral: What a blessed woman who changed the lives of many. It was great to hear stories about her as a mother. Family was so important to her and she made it clear to all her children the importance of family. Grandma Messick endured so many trials in her life, including the loss of her husband and two children. She was an amazing woman and will be missed. I’m grateful that she compiled many of her life experiences in a 300-page book entitled My Marvelous Journey. Here are a couple of pictures of Grandma Messick. This next picture is not very clear, but I love seeing Gabe so relaxed and Grandma so content in holding him. They both look so cozy.
We also attended Uncle Cleston’s funeral in Utah. Cleston was Grandma Messick’s oldest child and the second child that preceded her in death. It was a quick trip, but it was enjoyable despite the circumstances.

I'm sad I didn't have more time to collect pictures everyone has of Grandma! They are so sweet!

It was good to see you...again...we really need to meet under different circumstances, really!
