Madi's is quite the dancer

Madi loves to dance in the front room and she's actually pretty good. She does much better when you aren't asking her to dance for you and when she just gets into it all on her own, her moves are pretty impressive.
These pictures crack me up; Madi's got the groove and Gabe is just chillin.

Kung Foo or Ghost

Gabe is a funny kid. He thinks slides, teeter totters, and shorts are "scary". Yes shorts, they're scary. It took Mike two days to get him to wear a pair of shorts. Midway through the day he asked for his pants back, because shorts are just too scary. Silly kid.

Friends

I love having friends that feel more like family. You couldn't ask for better friends than the Streets. They are an amazing family. Our kids get along so well and love spending time with each other. Madi and Gabe get so excited knowing we are getting together.

It's spring and time to prep for bear baiting, so we have been out to the Streets several times to make bait pellots. The Street's house is 'bear baiting headquarters,' since they live closer to the foothills.

Layouts

Sunday we spent the afternoon with Grandpa Noal. Grandma Valerie had gone to Boise and someone needed to make sure Granpa got dinner. Hot dogs. Yes, we had hot dogs for Sunday dinner. Poor Grandpa. We enjoyed the weather and spent the day outside in the back yard. Madi was feeling photogenic and wanted her picture taken with Grandpa. After a half dozen pictures, Grandpa started to get a little silly. Madi loves animals, she even told me last Saturday that she wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up so she can "help animals be happy".

Madi loves dresses and wants to wear one just about everyday. Since the weather hasn't been summer dress material, we improvise with jeans or knits underneath.
I can't believe Madi will be 4 this summer. She is sure growing up fast.
Gabe is such a silly kid. His laugh and smile is irresistible, but boy is he ever moody.

Playing @ the Park

Last Saturday, the weather was overcast and windy in Twin Falls. We were there to watch a couple of baseball games. The kids' patience wore thin after a couple innings. Luckily there was a school within walking distance.
Madi made rock angels. Yes, I let them take their shoes off, just not their socks.
We played princesses, Gabe of course was a prince. Here's Madi waiting in the tower for her prince to come.
Gabe practicing his ghosting skills.

You know how I told you Gabe was afraid of worms when they went fishing. Well it turns out, he's only afraid of them when they are alive. We went to this track to run and play, and it was full of dead worms. The track wasn't completed and road base was all that was in. It rained over night and the worms came up, but they didn't go back down. They had a great time searching for dead worms. Gabe picked up several of them, I even had to make him get rid of them before he ate them or brought the creepy crawlers home with us.
Madi wasn't the least bit grossed out, but of course she wasn't afraid of them when they were alive.
Madi, she's such a cheese.

Fishing

Mike, knowing that it would be the last day of good weather for a while took the day off work Tuesday. He took the kids fishing. They packed a picnic lunch and headed to the fishing pond. Madi had a great time; Gabe did as well. Madi told me dad caught two fish and she realed them in. Madi didn't hesitate to touch the fish or the worms. Gabe on the other hand screamed like a "girl" when the fish came close. Gabe did have fun throwing rocks and sticks into the lake, that's all a part of fishing to him.
They also drove to Bone to check out the snow levels. It looks somewhat promising that we might get to the cabin by Memorial Day. Last year we were lucky to get there for the 4th of July.

Madi wanted to get in on the fun so I took a couple pictures of her too.

Pictures

My sister-in-law let me take her kids pictures over the weekend. I had fun and I hope she likes how the pictures turned out. Here are some of my favorites. They aren't all in focus and it wasn't the prime time of the day for lighting, but it worked. Ryland - he's about to turn one. It won't be long before the girls aren't going to be able to resist those big brown eyes.
Olivia, she is such a pretty girl and so artistic. She can spend hours coloring, drawing, cutting, gluing, and painting.
Claira, she is full of spunk. Her personallity is wild and crazy. I sure hope her parents are prepared for when she becomes a teenager, they might just have their hands full. She was so fun to photograph.
Thanks again Carol for letting me take these pictures, hopefully we will do it again soon.
