Funny Faces
The kids like to ham it up for the camera. Madi has been asking me to take her pictures in her pajamas a lot lately. But when I pull out the camera, this is what I get.

Hockey Dancer
Madi was a star at hockey practice. No she didn't score any goals or have a great save, but boy did she have the moves. They turned up the music and she had a ball showing off her stuff. She was an ice dancer in hockey gear and she had a crowd cheering her on. After Madi finished her routine to Mickey Mouse's hot dog dance music, her crowd cheered her on. Of course you would expect nothing else but a bow and "thank you, thank you". I about died laughing. It was as cute as cute could be.
On a side note, she did get up all by herself five times. It was the motivation to get back on her feet so she could finish her hot dog dance that got her up the first time, but it was sure the motivation she needed. Whatever works right. She really has come a long way this season.

Grandma Great Grace and Aunt Jennifer have been here visiting from Kentucky. The kids have had a great time spending time with them. When I dropped the kids off at Grandpa Byron's this morning, Gabe went looking for Grandma Great, she was still sleeping. I'm sure he's going to be sad, the next time he is there and Grandma Great isn't.
Aunt Jennifer brought her Nintendo DSs (yes that's plural) and taught the kids how to play, sort of. Madi was excited for Jennifer to teach her how to play and looked forward to using the DS when she was at Grandpa's this week.
Gabe has taken up shooting "bows". At grandpa Byron's this was his arsenal - a flyswatter. He shot "deer" and walls for almost an hour. He even pulled arrows out from his quiver resting on his back. Aunt Jennifer taught him how to play backgammon, well actually just roll the dice, but boy was it fun.
Here's Gabe's breakfast appetizer. He likes to get up early and since he had already depleted our supply of bananas and yogurt for the week, he settled for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Later when Madi was up, he had eggs and bacon.
