Today we went ice fishing with some friends. This is the first year that we have been ice fishing and it all started because of Gabe. Gabe loves to fish and was eager to be outside. He has been limited in the activities he can participate in this winter. Gabe was diagnosed with Leg Perthes Disease and so he wasn't able to play hockey this year. We have tried to keep him busy with fishing and archery.
We caught hundreds of tiny Perch. The kids had a ball pulling them out of the water.
We had piles and piles of the little buggers all over the ice, but before we left Madi put them all back in the water. It was amazing that these fish sat out on the ice for 2-3 hours and once placed back into the water they swam away.
